Louisiana Agriculture Magazine Celebrates LSU AgCenter Intellectual Property 25th Anniversary

Louisiana Agriculture Magazine has just released an issue on the LSU AgCenter Office of Intellectual Property for its 25th anniversary. It features several articles on companies from Louisiana and elsewhere using university technologies to improve or start their businesses. It also contains information on some exciting research still available for new commercial partners. We look forward to working with the entrepreneurial community and others to help commercialize the next generation of Louisiana innovation. The state needs to continue such efforts in order to make Louisiana competitive with other states. All the state's university administrators and politicians need to stop playing political games with university funding of research and professor salaries in order to stop the brain drain that Louisiana has been experiencing. In order to compete with other states for "brain" based industries, the state and private industry need to invest the same amount of money to bring university based innovation to market that it does to make LSU competitive in sports.
